The Democratic Free Press and Michigan Intelligencer becomes a daily newspaper.

First published in 1831, the Democratic Free Press and Michigan Intelligencer offered a daily edition four years later. Today, the Detroit Free Press is Michiganís oldest continuously published newspaper.
